Certified Investment Specialist
This program is designed to suit participants interested in building a strong foundation in the areas of capital market and investment. The program applies mainly to the Egyptian capital market, providing exposure to the structure of all major instruments, as well as the analysis and techniques for trading securities and brokerage. It covers valuation of assets, portfolio management and technical analysis.

Nine courses:
 
Math Refreshment
This is a refreshing course in the main math and statistical tools needed by the participants. It will help them in grasping the portfolio management and risk measurement techniques.
 
Introduction to Finance & Accounting
This course enables the participants to understand and read the financial statements as an introduction to financial analysis for performance measurement and investment analysis purposes.
 
Securities Industry and Capital Markets
Participants will become familiar with the roles and functions of capital markets as well as the characteristics of the various types of securities and market regulations.
 
Economic, Industry and Financial Statement Analysis
Participants will be able to analyze financial ratios, perform cross sectional, trend and time series analysis. They will also be able to identify the economic and industry aspects that affect the performance of the firm under analysis.
 
Cash Flow Mechanics & Lending
This course is designed to equip participants with advanced tools in cash flow analysis. This course will familiarize its participants with a project cash flow (Initial, Operating, and Terminal) and how to calculate them with an emphasis on sales forecast and cash flow projection.
 
Time Value of Money and Capital Budgeting
The course will emphasize risk analysis, and the level of risk associated with the degree of certainty of the different cash flows and how to handle it. The course will focus also on the time value of money and capital budgeting techniques and study whether this is an acceptable project or not.
 
Valuation of Assets
In this course, participants will learn how financial statement analysis relates to valuation. They will get introduced to various valuation techniques like discounted cash flow and multiples.
 
Portfolio Management
This is an advanced course that aims to develop the skills and abilities of the individuals and bankers who will be involved in investment, mutual funds and portfolio management of their business, bank, or those of their customers.
 
Technical Analysis
This is a comprehensive technical course that introduces participants to technical approaches, types of charts and patterns. Participants will learn how to use charts and patterns to generate buying and selling signals.
 
 
Admission Requirements:
• Participants must hold a bachelor degree in Commerce or any relevant discipline.
• Participant must have good command of the English language.
• Participant will go through a placement exam as to assure minimum knowledge of English, Finance & Accounting.
 
Certification:
The Professional Designation is awarded to participants who complete the required nine courses and got a score of at least 60 % average for the 2 exams the mid term & the final Exam at the end of the program. A Certificate of Attendance is awarded at the end of each course.
