TAFL Fellowships

Recipients of TAFL fellowships are usually students registered in the TAFL program who have shown outstanding performance in their courses. However, students specialized in Arabic and whose records show outstanding performance as undergraduates, or applicants with previous experience in teaching Arabic as a foreign language, may also be considered. 

Full Fellowships

Full fellowships consisting of a full waiver of tuition plus a stipend are available for select students in retrun for teaching three graduate courses and Arabic for nine hours per week at ALI.

Partial Fellowships

Partial fellowships consists of waivers of up to two thirds of tuition fees (i.e. a waiver for one or two courses). In return, students are expected to teach for three to six hours per week.

Renewal

Renewal of the fellowships depends upon the fellow's performance in their graduate courses.
