  • Second  language Acquisition (3 cr.)
  • Methods of Teaching a Foreign Language I (3 cr.)
  • Methods of Teaching a Foreign Language II (3 cr.)
  • Research Methods in Applied Linguistics (3 cr.)*
  • Sociolinguistics (3 cr.)
 Elective courses include:
  • Assessment in Language Learning (3 cr.)*
  • Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL)/Computer Operations Techniques (3 cr.)*
  • The Phonetics of Arabic (3 cr.)
  • The Linguistics of Arabic (3 cr.)
  • Contrastive Analysis in Second-Language Teaching/Learning (3 cr.)
  • Selected Topics in Applied Linguistics (1, 2, or 3 cr.)
  • Language Pragmatics (3 cr.)*
  • Advanced Arabic Grammar (3 cr.)
  • Research Seminar (3 cr.)
