Faculty Affairs

The Faculty Affairs Committee develops, reviews, approves and monitors policies and other matters relating to all faculty personnel matters.  It is responsible for the contents of the PPP.

Membership, Organization, and Procedures and Functions of the Faculty Affairs Committee:

A. Membership:
1- The Faculty Affairs Committee will comprise at least seven members of the University Senate.

2- Members of the Committee will normally serve for 2 years.

3- Additional members may be appointed to the Committee from among non-senatorial faculty or staff for periods of up to one year.

4- A member who for any legitimate reason, such as sabbatical leave or leave of absence, is unable to participate in committee meetings for a protracted period of time may be replaced by a substitute member chosen by the Senate.

B. Organization:
1- The Committee will elect annually a Chair and a Secretary from among its members.

2- The Committee may appoint such ad hoc sub-committees as it may deem necessary for the proper conduct of its affairs. Other members of the faculty or staff, who may or may not be members of the University Senate, may be invited to serve on such sub-committees.
