As engaged members of the Egyptian community, AUC faculty, staff, alumni and students work to help build Egypt’s future. From seminars to raise public awareness, regular lectures and open dialogues to a volunteer network, training program, student activities and academic research, the AUC community is in full swing.

Tahrir Dialogues
The dialogues are a series of debates, organized by the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, on the key issues facing the citizens of Egypt as they define a way forward. Held on AUC’s historic Tahrir campus, the dialogues provide a forum at which leading political figures, activists, emerging leaders, academics and knowledgeable professionals discuss issues before the public.

Egypt in Transition: Know Your Role
This public seminar series raises awareness among Egyptians of their civic rights and obligations in a country transitioning to democracy. Brought through a partnership between AUC’s John D. Gerhart Center for Philanthropy and Civic Engagement and El Sawy Culture Wheel, the series provides the tools and information to help Egyptians participate in shaping their country’s future.

Transforming Egypt
Exploring the business and economic ramifications of the revolution, the School of Business launched the Transforming Egypt series to provide a platform for the discussion and debate of Egypt’s future business environment in the months and years ahead.

Training and Development for Challenging Times
In response to the changing work environment, AUC’s continuing education and executive education institutions developed a portfolio of training programs for business, government and civil society.
