Residential Life
On-Campus Housing

While staying at the AUC residence is not obligatory, it is strongly recommended for newcomers. There is none of the apartment search hassle, deciphering of an Arabic rent contract or landlord problems. Students may choose from a variety of room arrangements and all rooms include essential furnishings with telephone and Internet access. The facility includes a computer room with Internet access, an exercise room, a bookstore, study areas, a cafeteria, and an outdoor garden and fountain. Separate entrances for male and female sections ensure privacy. A common reception area provides a welcoming place to receive guests and socialize. The residence sponsors a range of social, cultural and service opportunities: lectures and field trips, seminars and talent shows, movie nights and parties, fundraising programs and visits to local hospitals and service agencies.
