Academic Clubs

Accounting Link

Offers students the opportunity to learn about the accounting profession in a relaxed atmosphere. The members get a chance to meet other business majors and potential employers, providing a great networking opportunity. The club’s primary goal is to promote the accounting profession and to inform students about all the opportunities available in an accounting career.

American Society of Mechanical Engineering

Advances and disseminates the theory and practice of mechanical engineering, the presentation of proper perspectives of engineering work, and the promotion of  professional consciousness and fellowship through seminars, fairs and trips.

Association for Computer Machinery (ACM)

Aims to promote an increased knowledge of the science, design, development, construction, language and applications of modern computing machinery; as well as a greater interest in computing machinery and its applications. It also provides a means of communication between persons having interest in computing machinery.

Biology Club

Provides opportunities for students from all majors to get to know faculty, staff and fellow students who are interested in biological sciences. It gives students the chance to interact with the community through programs, and it promotes the awareness of career opportunities and graduate studies in biology.

Business Association (BA)

Provides services for business and accounting students and enhances their communication and professional skills.

Construction Engineering Association (CEA)

Provides a comprehensive array of services to construction engineering students  and the AUC community in order to enhance their practical and theoretical backgrounds. The club fosters contact between AUC engineering students and the design and construction industry, invites industry representatives to speak at AUC, assists in arranging summer internship opportunities for students, facilitates student visits to construction sites and helps students attend national industry conferences.

Creates an interest in economics and related issues, brings students together with other students and faculty, and attracts speakers to offer new insights in economics to our students.

Electronics Engineering Association (EEA)

Provides services for electronics engineering students in all fields (academic, social, career related, etc.). The club also works on creating a family atmosphere among students in all departments and spreading information technology awareness.

Finance and Investment Society

Helps students acquire knowledge about banking, finance and investment topics.
The society offers many activities during the year including social events with the business community, various speakers and an annual banquet. The society sponsors the Wall Street Investment Game and provides awards for the best student performers. Students from all disciplines are strongly encouraged to become active members.

History Club

Enhances historical awareness among students through discussions about crucial
events in history, leading to a better understanding of our society as part of the
historical continuum.

Management Association

Develops and improves members’ mastery of the knowledge and practice of
management subjects that are beneficial to the community.

Marketing Association

Provides marketing resources, tips and trainings, as well as monitors the marketing
and advertising environment inside AUC to guarantee an ethical environment. The purpose of the Marketing Association is to provide students with opportunities to learn about marketing and its impact on the business environment.

Mass Communication Association (MCA)

Strengthens relationships between mass communication students through lectures,
charity events and a newsletter.

Mathematics Club

Helps students academically in mathematics and widens their appreciation of the
field through competitions, seminars and other activities.

Philosophy Club

Raises philosophical questions among the AUC community and discusses relevant
issues in the fields of art, history, economics and political science, and explores
questions of philosophical significance. The club is driven by the passion of its
members. In that spirit, it promotes undergraduate-led discussions, as well as paper
and topic presentations.

Physics Association

Increases interaction between physics students, provides summer training and job
opportunities, and organizes lectures, debates and seminars.

Political Science Association (PSA)

Increases the interest and awareness of political science students in all aspects related
to the field.

Psychology Club

Improves students’ understanding of the role of psychology in society. The club shows students how psychology is applied to our everyday lives and provides detailed information about specific topics in the field. Regular events include movie nights, speakers and social gatherings.

Quark Society

Enhances the mental and technical competence of students, and develops their
intellectual ability and interest in scientific research and various topics in the
humanities and sciences.

Robotics Club

Provides a forum for learning about everything from hardware and electronics to parts
fabrication and programming. Members come from a variety of backgrounds and bring
knowledge from their areas. The group is dedicated to the creation of working robots.
