Clubs and Activities

Being involved in extracurricular activities can be a valuable addition to your academic achievements. AUC has the largest number of student clubs and organizations, making your university experience balanced, interesting and rewarding. As you learn and grow from the challenges of their coursework, you also gain experience, knowledge, and satisfaction from extracurricular programs. All students, regardless of their academic program, are encouraged to participate in activities outside the classroom.

AUC's Office of Student Development's Student Organization Activities Unit (OSOA) is responsible for overseeing the Student Union , student-organized conferences and academic club activities. Its primary focus is the development of leadership qualities among students who actively participate in these activities and services.

The Community Service Program is responsible for all community service clubs and activities that promote the spirit of volunteerism in areas such as caring for the disabled, elderly, needy, orphans and cancer patients, as well as launching welfare projects and eliminating illiteracy.

Cultural Programs aims to expose students to all forms of art through the cultural clubs , as well as promoting an understanding and appreciation for aesthetic expression, particularly that of Egypt and the region.

Following are some of the most recent student clubs, groups and organizations at AUC. Of the listed organizations, 25 to 35 clubs register annually. Membership in these organizations is open to all AUC students. Choose the one that seems most interesting to you. If you cannot find an activity that sparks your interest, there are new student organizations being formed every year. If you have any questions, please feel free to pass by the student development office (Wallace Building, Greek Campus). The staff will assist students wishing to register their organizations or form new ones and provide all the necessary information and guidelines.
