Important Notice to New International Students to AUC in Fall 2008

The International Student Handbook is an important resource for students from other countries planning to attend AUC. We strongly encourage each student to give the Handbook a close read as they prepare for travel to Cairo. We are about to chart a new course in AUC’s history – beginning June 2008, our campus will begin the move to a 260 acres, state of the art facility in New Cairo, a planned community still in development about 35 kilometers east of the downtown campus which has been our home for almost 100 years. Detailed information about the facilities, resources, and setting of the new campus are still in development and unavailable to revise the Handbook within print deadlines. Therefore, please note that the current (and latest) edition of the Handbook does not contain information relevant to the New Cairo AUC campus. However, the Handbook remains a rich resource of information about living in Cairo and studying at AUC. As an alternative source of information about the new campus, please view AUC’s website, specifically the following pages:
