The Center for American Studies and Research at The American University in Cairo offers the undergraduate minor.  American Studies focuses on the cultural, political, and intellectual life of the United States of America.  Students investigate the American past and present from the perspectives of multiple disciplines, learn to synthesize various knowledges, and develop learning and research strategies needed for the responsible analysis of persistent historical questions and urgent contemporary national and international developments.
