Dear AUC Parents,
Congratulations to all of you with new freshman at AUC this year. We are delighted to welcome you all to the AUC community and are looking forward to sharing the coming years together.
As the parent of an AUC student, you are invited to take part in all of the Parents Program initiatives the University organizes especially for you so that you can stay informed, involved and engaged with AUC.
The Parents Program initiatives include events, which are a wonderful way to keep in touch with AUC. The largest annual Parents Program event, the convocation ceremony for new students and their parents, takes place at the start of each semester and gives parents the opportunity to get to know each other and to meet with representatives from the University’s administration and academic schools and departments, who are happy to answer any questions you have regarding your son or daughter’s education. You will receive invitations to these and other Parents Program events by e-mail and can always check the Parents Program Web page for information on upcoming events.
AUC has also provided regular online communication channels to keep you up to date about AUC’s news and events. Through the Parents Program communication channels each semester, you will receive an e-newsletter that will inform you of the semester’s calendar of events and student news and achievements. In addition, you can join AUC’s Facebook fan page and Twitter accounts for timely updates on University events and related initiatives, links to these are included on the homepage of the parents Web site.
For parents seeking a more active role within the AUC community, you are welcome to join the Parents Association. This advisory body meets monthly to provide input and support to further AUC’s initiatives toward education. For information on membership into the Parents Association, contact Iman Afra ’86, president of the Parents Association board at parents@aucegypt.edu.
