UACT signs a contract with lynda.com
Free unlimited access to 1,500+ online courses

University Academic Computing Technologies (UACT) has signed a two-year agreement with lynda.com, an online software training library in video format available 24/7 at your own convenience on or off campus.

It contains a wide variety of software programs from top vendors such as Microsoft, Apple and Adobe, free of charge. Topics include 3D animation, graphics, photography, design and multimedia. Programming languages such as Javascript, action script, JQuery and C++ are also available. Certificates upon completion of the course are awarded.

Students, faculty and staff can access lynda at no charge using this link. Authentication is required using AUC email credentials.

Microsoft DreamSpark
UACT has the pleasure to announce a new service for the AUC community, Microsoft DreamSpark.
DreamSpark is a Microsoft program that supports technical education by providing a Microsoft software library for learning, teaching and research purposes. Faculty, educators, staff, and students are eligible to download professional Microsoft developer tools and designer kits at NO COST. Learn more

Second Life is a 3D virtual world developed by Linden Lab. It provides an environment where users, or residents, are able to create their own characters, or avatars, and interact with people from around the world. It facilities student collaboration and engages them in active and experiential learning. Learn more
