AUC believes all eager and qualified individuals should have the chance to acquire an education that provides the skills and vision necessary to meet the challenges ahead. For many promising students, only a scholarship brings AUC’s high-quality education within reach. AUC presents merit and need-based scholarships to students with exceptional academic records and demonstrated leadership skills, providing almost $14 million per year in undergraduate financial aid. Awarded to more than 75 percent of students entering AUC, this crucial financial assistance helps ensure that AUC is able to recruit outstanding students, regardless of their families' financial situation.
University supporters have an opportunity to name an undergraduate scholarship or graduate fellowship that will provide the region's brightest students with a unique educational opportunity.
Professorships honor the best teacher scholars and make it possible for the university to recruit and retain outstanding teachers and researchers. The presence of esteemed faculty also helps attract the best students to AUC, graduates and undergraduates, adding to an already thriving academic climate.
Endowed professors draw on a wealth of experience and expertise and, through teaching, lectures and scholarly publications, provide AUC’s students and the community at large with new insights and a richer academic environment.

Public School Scholarship Program
Providing full five-year undergraduate scholarships each year to 20 outstanding students graduating from Egyptian government schools, this fund is supported through the contributions of both corporations and individuals.
The recipients of the Public School Scholarship go through a rigorous selection process to ensure both the financial necessity and merit of the student. The Ministry of Education distributes 200 applications to different districts throughout Egypt. Each district is requested to nominate their most outstanding student, and from this list 100 students are selected by the ministry to be presented to AUC. The 20 final recipients of the scholarship are selected from this pool of candidates provided they meet the admission criteria for AUC and are financially needy. These students spend five years at AUC, utilizing their first year to learn English.
The PSSF has been one of AUC’s most successful scholarship programs. Since its establishment in 1990, the fund has sponsored a total of 133 students who have demonstrated exceptional academic potential. In fact, 73 percent of these students have graduated with distinction receiving high and highest
honors. The scholarship has made positive, life changing impressions on the lives of many deserving students.
