Renowned Egyptian Artist Donates 16 Paintings to AUC

Recent Gifts

New Campus Named Spaces
AUC's new campus is being built at a total cost of $400 million. While $200 million of this amount comes from AUC's endowment fund and the eventual selling of a number of downtown buildings, the remaining $200 million is a result of the generosity of the university's alumni and friends. $100 million was donated by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and the remaining $100 million was raised from private donors whose names will appear on the buildings, classrooms, courtyards and facilities made possible by their contributions.

Capital Campaign Co-chairs Al-Alfi and Corddry honored in New York
Moataz Al-Alfi and Paul Corddry, co-chairs of AUC’s Capital Campaign were honored recently in New York for their effort and support in leading AUC's capital campaign so successfully and for surpassing the university's $100 million goal.

Sabry Pledges $60,000 to PSSF
Faten El Saied Sabry '88, '90 pledged $60,000 this year to establish the Faten Sabry Public School Scholarship.

El Khazindar Invests in AUC’s Business Education
AUC alumnus Hisham H. El Khazindar ’96 established last spring the Business and Research Case Development Center, pledging $250,000 to AUC so that future business graduates can study business cases that are more relevant to the region.

Independence Day
The newly launched Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR) has the dual challenge of creating more understanding of American culture and society and dispelling misconceptions in a world that views the United States with a high degree of skepticism.

Comparative Religion Endowed Professorship Launched
Courses in comparative religion were offered at AUC for the first time as part of an endowed professorship established by renowned Saudi businessman Abdulhadi Taher.
