We are pleased to announce that one of our alumni, Bakry El Jack, has successfully defended his PhD dissertation at the University of Delaware on October 23, 2012. Professor Laila El Baradei was a member of the defense committee. His dissertation is titled "Civil Society and Democratic Transformation in Contemporary Egypt: Premises and Promises First."

- We are pleased to introduce four new faculty members, who will join our team this fall:
- Emad Shahin
- Allison Hodgkins
- Khaled Abdelhalim
- Shahjahan Bhuiyan 

-The Supreme Council of Universities has accredited the new PPAD degrees: Master of Public Policy and Master of Public Administration.




The International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) and the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), in close collaboration with the Institute of Public Administration of Bahrain (BIPA), are organizing the 2013 Joint Congress of IIAS-IASIA to be held from June 1 to 6 in Manama, Bahrain. The deadline to submit thesis and master's projects to the department (Fall 2012/ Winter 2013) is January 23, 2013.


The deadline to submit proposal to the department (Fall 2012) for those who are planning to graduate in Spring 2013 is January 31, 2013.
