The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program (EIP) Council Meeting
AUC School of Business’ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program (EIP) held its Council Meeting, gathering the program’s stakeholders in an endeavor to promote its recent and upcoming activities.
Sherif Kamel, Dean of the School of Business gave an introductory speech themed around which approaches should be taken next to pursue the aim of the EIP. “The program should concentrate on setting its direction to be the ideal platform” Kamel stated, elaborating that EIP’s selling point is to establish itself as a mentoring unit and solicitor of ideas.
Following, Ayman Ismail, Endowed Chair of Entrepreneurship and assistant professor, talked about the efforts of EIP in addition to its forthcoming events including; promoting entrepreneurship, continuously supporting student activities, and setting up more incubations and competitions.
Consequently, one of the key objective of such efforts is to concisely specify the target that the EIP program sets to cater to. This could entail undergraduates, graduates and alumni.
“The idea of looking for a generation of ‘idea generators’ made us broaden our outreach to include all students, both inside and outside of AUC,” said Ghada Howeidy, Director of the International Executive Education Institute.
