English Programs for Undergraduate Students
Graduate certificates are offered in Early Literacy Education, Educational Leadership, Special Needs Education, and Teaching (for Non-Education Majors). Additional certificates in Instructional Technology and Educational Counseling will be available in Fall 2008. In addition to the Early Literacy Education certificate for teachers and school leaders, parenting courses in Early Literacy Education and Special Needs Education are on offer for parents, grandparents and extended family members who care for young children.
Incoming students who must strengthen their English proficiency to ensure success in their studies may be placed in one of the following ELI programs:
English placement is determined by students' scores on AUC's English Language Proficiency Entrance Test (ELPET) or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). For detailed information, please review the requirements for undergraduate admission.
